As someone who has been a loyal user of Zippyshare for many years, it is with a heavy heart that I share the news that the file-hosting service will be shutting down at the end of this month. It's hard to believe that it has been almost 17 years since Zippyshare first came online in 2006, offering a simple and straightforward approach to storing files online, completely free of charge.

Over the years, Zippyshare has made various upgrades and improvements to its service, including the launch of the Zippyshare Uploader software that allowed users to upload files without using a web browser. However, despite its efforts to keep up with the changing times, the platform's operators have decided that it is no longer feasible to continue running the site, citing rising energy costs and a lack of user interest.

As someone who has relied on Zippyshare for years to share files with friends and colleagues, it's sad to see the platform go. While there are many other file-hosting services available today, none have quite the same simplicity and ease of use that Zippyshare offered. It's clear that the rise of ad-blocking software and the increasing competition in the market have made it difficult for a service like Zippyshare to survive.

Despite its struggles, Zippyshare continued to receive tens of millions of visits every month, a testament to its popularity among users. It's uncertain what will happen to the site's domain after it shuts down, but one thing is for sure – Zippyshare will be missed.

To the team behind Zippyshare, thank you for providing a reliable and user-friendly platform for so many years. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and your legacy will live on in the depths of the internet.

Just so members are not confused, Babiato is not connected to Zippyshare and @frankyoe2 here is hoping that somebody from within Zippy will read this post 😜

Although it could have just been added to the already open thread about it...
