Pi Network recently crossed 3.5+ Million Engaged Pioneers. It’s hard to believe that we launched just under a year ago on 3/14/2019. We have a lot to celebrate as a community as we approach Pi Day 2020 and our next phase of development! Keep an eye out for updates over the next couple of weeks!

Over the last 3 months, ~300 Pioneers have been participating in a pilot of in-app transfers of Pi. The purpose of the in-app transfer pilot is to help bootstrap Pi’s peer-to-peer economy by helping us identify what Pioneers are willing to offer in exchange for Pi as well as what Pioneers want to buy with their Pi.
As we approach Pi Day, we want to share more of our plans for the next phase of development of the project to get feedback from the community. Over the next 2 weeks, we'll provide these updates in the form of brief videos on the home screen. We'd like to gather your feedback in a video format submitted through social media. Your video submissions may be included in a special video that we release on Pi Day to update existing and future Pioneers.
The Core Team is excited to announce that Pi Network will launch Phase 2 of the project on Pi Day, 2020. Phase 1 began on Pi Day, 2019 with the goal of growing the network to 1M Pioneers. Less than a year from launch, we’ve far surpassed our goal, with over 3.5M Pioneers globally. Now that we have built this large and diverse global community, Phase 2 will focus on building the value of the network with an Applications Platform and decenrtalizing by building Pi's testnet.
They say Pi will beat bitcoin in the long run.
