i never installed extension through Web setup Wizard
Install manually its better way
upload extension in app/code/"extention folder"
Then enter command through SSH
php bin/magento setup:upgrade
To solve web setup wizard or any magento 2 problem
First step is to
Clear Cache, deploy static content
make sure permissions are correct
di:compile

Which extention are you installing ?
Check by enabling disabling extention to know if extention is causing he issue.
Php bin/magento module:disable ExtentionName
Then enable to see if this extention is causing issue.
Php bin/magento module:enable ExtentionName
Have you checked extention version compatibility with your magento 2 version?
Have you cleared cache, re-deployed static content?
