Can great people guide me, Which is better - .in or .com

I want to create an Ecommerce site in India, for indian consumers only.

Both .in and .com is available.

Shall i setup my main site on .in domain or .com domain for better SEO and better google search results.... help is appreciated..

Set it up on the .in then redirect the .com to it.

i would say go for .in and keep the .com if you want to go globally one day

If your target is only India, then .in will be better and easily recognized by local visitors. But you still have to buy .com

If the domain is easy to type, remember Go with .in if not go with .com
Don't forget to hold the two extensions for longtime
