In case anyone is locked out from settings or log viewer, this is due a change in the plugin settings.

In update 4.1.3 of the WP Activity Log plugin we have migrated the plugin settings from a custom table to the WordPress options table.

The migration has been successful in most cases. However, in some edge cases some settings have not been migrated properly, specifically the privileges settings. Therefore if you get an error that you are not allowed to view the activity log, follow the below procedure:

  1. Open the WordPress database using phpMyAdmin or any other database tool of choice.
  2. Select the wp_options table.
  3. Delete the row with the option_name wsal_restrict-plugin-settings.

So, enter in your mysql/mariadb and run these:

Code:
MariaDB [(none)]> use WPdatabase;
MariaDB [WPdatabase]> DELETE from wp_options where option_name = "wsal_restrict-plugin-settings" LIMIT 1;
MariaDB [WPdatabase]> exit;

Change prefix in "wp_options" from your own database "wp_" prefix.
