All About The Marketplace & Sales Threads

From Today (February 5th 2024) we have made some major changes to the Babiato Marketplace​

Info For Sellers:

There is now a fee for the privilege of selling your goods and services on Babiato. The fee is $1.66/month per sales thread with a minimum purchase of 3 months ($4.98).

A discount of 5% is available for 6 month purchases ($9.46) and 10% for 12 month purchases ($17.93).

Any Babiato Member who has been registered with us for more than 15 days is eligible to purchase a sales thread from us.

Extra Info For Existing Sellers (Pre Feb 5th):

If you wish to keep selling on Babiato you will now also have to start paying for your sales threads. However to make life easier for you when you create a new sales thread using the new system simply just fill in the thread fields with placeholder text and then message me (@Medw1311) and I will edit the post with the content of your old one.

Note that your threads will also be subject to the new Marketplace rules linked above so please also make sure to read and fully understand them.

How To Create A Sales Thread:

1. From the main menu select Ads Manager > Create Ad



2. Click the Create Ad Button



3. Create your sales thread using the format shown below and select the duration you would like to purchase for (between 3 & 12 months) then click the Save button.



4. At this point your sales thread will go to the Admin team for approval. They will either approve it as is or contact you for more information or to advise you of any edits you need to make. At certain times it can take up to 24 hours for approval.

5. Once your sales thread is approved you will receive a notification with a link to the invoice you need to pay before your sales thread gets published. Payment for your sales thread is handled securely using Stripe meaning you can pay with your credit/debit card or Google/Apple Pay. If you absolutely can't use Stripe to pay then please message me (@Medw1311) and we can try to work out an alternative method but this really would be a last resort.

6. After you have paid for your sales thread simply sit back and wait for your buyers to contact you.

Info For Buyers:

The Babiato Marketplace is a feature to allow transactions between members and Babiato is not responsible for anything that happens or goes wrong once the transaction has been completed.

All purchases you make from the Babiato Marketplace are at your own risk therefore you should thoroughly research the buyer and their offer before purchasing and should pay using a method that you can claim your money back if something goes wrong.

Babiato staff cannot and will not help you get your money back if you are scammed, but we will ban any scammers.

As part of your purchasing decision you should realise that in many cases you will not be buying the product or service from the original developer and things can go wrong but this is balanced by the fact you will be purchasing the product or service for a much cheaper price.

Another thing to consider is that sometimes things are marketed as "Lifetime". It is important for you to know that this means for as long as the product is working, available & supported. You can certainly not expect it to last YOUR own lifetime!
