Need help in customizing Prestashop Classic theme

Hi Friends,
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask it or not BUT I badly need some assistance in customizing Prestashop's defaults Classic theme.

The few things I am interested in learning the things liker how can we change the layout to full width for the Image Slider on the home page? or if possible to change the header contents or its layout? Set a theme layout to Full width with Box'd contents.

I will really appreciate if anyone can share a link to a tutorial or a PDF file explaining these things .. I have tried the Prestashop devdocs BUT Unfortunately I couldn't get it from there.
