anyone know how to import bulk category although i have did it through phpmyadmin but for child categories it imports successfully in phpmyadmin but its not showing in admin backend but also it shows on front end

Funny thing is when I install v1.7.0 as Super Admin I don't see the dashboard, but when I install v1.6.0 and other older versions I can see the dashboard. Who knows how to fix this problem?
