To activate the customizer on Soledad follow the steps and the images.​

Step #1. First Go to appearance/theme file editor. look for functions.php
then search for the word customizer and below you will see this:

if ( penci_loads_cm() ) {
include( trailingslashit( get_template_directory() ). 'inc/customizer/framework/bootstrap.php' );
} else {
penci_show_cs_notice();
}




Step #2. Replace it with this:

include( trailingslashit( get_template_directory() ). 'inc/customizer/framework/bootstrap.php' );




And now you will get all the features working hope that have worked for those with the same problem.

Thanks it worked. Can you advise how to go about with the code if one is using the Child's theme instead so that one doesn't have to always do this edits on the main theme after every update? Thank you.

The process of editing the functions.php actually didn't work. I still see the red error notification.

Could it be because the child theme is the active theme? I was thinking of copying the entire text in functions.php from the parent theme and pasting it into the child theme, but I doubted that.

Kindly direct me on how to proceed. Thank you.
