these apps and their versioning are so confusing, i just dont understand which version is what, and whata ctually are the differentce, what is MPWD and BETA and this one.

This Whatsapp Gateway Node.js + PHP v5.0.0 is not available or discontinued (Maybe because of WhatsApp app rolled out Multi device feature from beta to stable version).
