I used the zip file provided by you and got an error while updating, I used the untouched zip, and it redirected to the license page after successfully updating.

Well yes, i didn't test the update functionality. So if you are stuck on the setup page try

goto /var/www/html/application/libraries/Bitflan_installer/steps/ and create a file named license_verified.stp

to continue with setup. After setup check if frontend loads correctly
