UK Advice Needed

I've got a Laptop I'm looking to sell for around £1500 to £2000.

(This isn't a sales thread just looking for advice)

Normally when I sell stuff I'd list on Gumtree or local FB groups, but I'm not comfortable having anyone come to my house for something of that value.

I tried to list it on ebay but they won't let me list anything above £650 as I've never sold there before.

CEX would have been an option if the local shops weren't closed for lockdown but no way am I sending into them.

Any other ideas guys?

I'm not in the UK ... But there is a Craigslist in UK, Facebook and not sure what other local selling apps you've over there.

You don't need to meet at the house. For high priced item, I usually met a the local police station and do the exchange there. Safe for both parties.

Normal advice here is to do the deal in a public building with CCTV but those are closed on lockdown at the moment.

I usually met at McDonald or Starbucks, but for high priced items. Safest is to meet at the police station, no one is gonna rob you or do a hit & run there. The police here in the US knows about the exchange in the lobby and they have no problems with it.

I shall get in touch with them to see if they allow that
